In its 100th-anniversary year, McCarthy Tire Service acquired Henise Tire's commercial fleet truck-tire sales, shop-service, and Bandag retreading operations, retaining the Allentown and Bensalem, Pennsylvania locations. Henise kept its consumer wholesale and retail businesses.

It's a targeted carve-out: the buyer took precisely the piece that fit its identity and left the rest.
