GreatWater 360 Auto Care entered Missouri (its 9th state) by acquiring only the three-location mechanical-repair division of a respected St. Louis business. The seller kept its collision and towing operations; GreatWater specifically cited expanding its fleet footprint.
It's a clean example of a buyer taking exactly the piece it wanted, and of a fleet/B2B book being the real draw.
Why Complete Auto was a target
- →An established fleet and B2B service book: recurring, contracted revenue that GreatWater called out as the goal.
- →New-state entry into Missouri via a trusted local operator, with leadership and staff retained.
- →Buying only the mechanical division kept the deal focused on the highest-value piece.
What it means for owners
A fleet or commercial book can be the most valuable thing you own, and the most overlooked in a sale. Document it, protect it, and know what it's worth on its own.
